We like "Mr. Plow" (D'oh!)
Kingston's "Name Our Plow" campaign is back, inviting residents to submit unique, Kingston-inspired names for a snowplow in the City’s fleet.
From now until Nov. 12th at 4 p.m., residents can share their ideas on Get Involved Kingston, with the winning name to debut this winter.
After submissions close, a short list will be put to a public vote from Nov. 18 to Nov. 25. The chosen name will be announced on Dec. 9.
Last year, the community submitted over 400 names, with “Murney Plower” taking the top spot.
Snowplowing remains a vital service in Kingston, where more than 1,800 km of road lanes and 600 km of sidewalks are cleared each winter. For more on winter maintenance, visit CityofKingston.ca/Snow.
