Offering hope and help to many in need
Kingstonians in need of mental health and substance abuse help now have a safe and secure place to go in the city.
The new Oakes Stabilization Facility located on Concession St, officially opened this week with a ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Bryan Paterson was there.
Paterson says the facility has a bright future.
The Mayor added that this is a long time coming.
The program offers 18 beds with private bathrooms, communal kitchen, dining and lounging area. Program participants will officially move into the new facility in January of 2025.
