Pay a fine or donate a toy - you're choice
The popular Toys for Tickets program is back in Kingston, allowing residents to donate toys in exchange for parking ticket payment. From December 2 to December 5, residents can donate new, unopened toys to pay for tickets issued between November 1 and December 1, excluding those for unauthorized accessible parking.
Donation drop-off locations include the City Hall Payment Centre at 216 Ontario Street, accepting both toys and money, and 1211 John Counter Boulevard, where only toys will be accepted. The INVISTA Centre will also accept toys on December 4 and 5.
Toys must be suitable for children aged 0 to 12 and valued at or above the ticket amount. No battery-operated or violent toys will be accepted.
This program is optional, and drivers can also pay fines online. Since its start in 2005, Toys for Tickets has collected over 3,900 toys for children in need.
