Largest fentanyl bust in Kingston History

Woman faces serious charges

In early August, Kingston Police Special Services Division acted on drug trafficking information, leading to a significant seizure on the 21st.

Executing a Controlled Drugs and Substances warrant, officers searched a local residence and confiscated 1.25 kg of fentanyl powder, 100.6 grams of crystal methamphetamine, and 31.5 grams of cocaine, with an estimated street value over $200,000.

The operation also uncovered equipment used for processing drugs.

A 29-year-old Kingston woman was arrested and charged with three counts of Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

She was held at Kingston Police headquarters for a bail hearing. This operation marks the largest single fentanyl seizure in Kingston Police history, preventing the distribution of over 12,000 potential doses of this dangerous drug.

Kingston Police continue to fight the rise of toxic drugs in the community. For more information, contact D/Sgt Shawn Birney at 613-549-4660 Ext. 6323.
