The LaSalle Causeway is now fully open for marine navigation - but not for vehicles yet.
On June 20, Public Services and Procurement Canada announced it is analyzing and developing options for a temporary bridge to reinstate access for vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
In collaboration with the City of Kingston, PSPC is evaluating solutions to resume vehicular and pedestrian traffic while accommodating marine traffic. Details and timelines will be communicated in a future public notice.
Meanwhile, the marine navigation channel remains open, subject to necessary works that may require temporary closures. PSPC will issue public notices in advance if closures are needed.
