Michelle Foxton declared Liberal candidate for Lanark–Frontenac
Michelle Foxton is taking another run at public office.
The lawyer and former municipal councillor has been declared the Liberal candidate for Lanark-Frontenac riding, north of Kingston.
“This community is my home and I want to ensure it’s not taken for granted,” Foxton said in a release issued on Monday. “I’m passionate about fighting for fairness for the residents of our riding. With a collaborative, center of the road approach, we can work together for a brighter, more prosperous future for every generation.”
Foxton placed second in the 2021 federal election with 26.4 percent of the vote.
She'll be trying to unseat Conservative incumbent, Scott Reid.
