The LaSalle Causeway's temporary bridge will be ready by the end of the month
There's a light at the tunnel, or rather bridge.
Public Services and Procurement Canada says crews will begin installing the temporary bridge at the LaSalle Causeway later this week.
The Federal Government released an update on the LaSalle Causeway's temporary bridge, which will ease congestion in the city and restore a major traffic artery.
The marine navigation channel will re-open twice this fall.
Once on October 15th and again on November 16th.
The old bridge at the causeway had to be dismantled after it became damaged.
Local businesses say the closure has led to a drop in traffic at their establishments over the summer months. The temporary bridge will be a welcome turn of events.
