Man charged in Kingston double murder appears in court

Brief appearance late last week

The man charged in September's fatal attack outside the Integrated Care Hub made a court appearance late last week.

Kingston man, Andre Wareham, appeared in court via video link from a detention centre in Nappanee on October 4.

He faces serious charges, including two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder. These charges stem from a tragic incident on Montreal Street on September 12, where a 38-year-old man and a 41-year-old man lost their lives in a stabbing attack.

The proceedings have been adjourn for two weeks. A lengthy no-contact order has also been issued against Wareham, preventing him from contacting anyone involved in the case.

Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the stabbings and a lengthy safety review is conducted at the HUB.
