Cost of living and healthcare among top priorities
We continue our profiles of the local candidates running in the Provincial election.
Kingston has been home for Incumbent MPP and Liberal Candidate Ted Hsu since 1964. He moved away for school and work, before returning with his young family about 15 years ago. Hsu has a broad background he says he wants to put to work.
Top issues he's heard when knocking on doors in Kingston is cost of living, the healthcare system, and what's happening south of the boarder.
When asked how he and his party will fix those issues, Hsu says he and the liberals are going to be focused on fixing primary care thanks to a plan that is already being worked on by Dr. Jane Philpott.
Another top issue is a potential trade war with the United States. When asked how he and the Liberals would protect residents from that outcome, Hsu says in the short term it's keeping in touch with local companies and supporting local.
Election Day is February 27th.
