Neighbourhood Activation Fund boosts Kingston's community connections

Funding events to hep make connectins

Kingston's Community Development Neighbourhood Activation Fund is now a permanent program, encouraging residents to connect and celebrate through community-led events.

The fund provides financial support to individuals, neighbourhood associations, and cultural organizations for hosting activities like block parties, neighbourhood events, and pop-up movie nights.

Grants ranging from $500 to $2,500 can help cover costs such as insurance, signage, and facility bookings.

Since its launch in 2023, the fund has successfully facilitated numerous community initiatives, helping to foster a sense of belonging and reduce isolation among residents.

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and funding is available on a first-come, first-served basis each year. Interested individuals and groups can apply through the Get Involved Kingston platform.

For alternative formats of the application, contact the City of Kingston directly. The Neighbourhood Activation Fund aligns with the city’s strategic goal to build a caring and inclusive community.
