Ice pad at Kingston's Centre 70 Arena has a new name: UFIT Rink
Centre 70 Arena now sports a fresh new look thanks to a naming rights sponsorship agreement with UFIT Kingston.
Approved by City Council on February 6th, the arena will be known as the UFIT Rink for the next five years.
“We are grateful and fortunate to have local businesses like UFIT Kingston who are dedicated to supporting the health and wellbeing of the community,” said Amy Elgersma, Director of Recreation and Leisure Services. “The funding from naming rights sponsorships is an important part of supporting the City’s efforts to provide affordable recreation opportunities.”
UFIT Kingston, located at 720 Progress Ave., Unit 6, specializes in fitness classes, sports performance training, clinical kinesiology, and fascial stretch therapy services.
“We are thrilled to partner with the City of Kingston on this opportunity. At UFIT, we believe in the power of fitness and recreation to bring people together, and we’re excited to support this fantastic facility that offers so much to local residents,” said Sara Maveety, Co-Owner and Operations Manager at UFIT Kingston. “This partnership reflects our commitment to fostering a healthy, active lifestyle and giving back to the community that has supported us over the years. We look forward to seeing the UFIT Rink's positive impact on local sports and recreational activities.”
Located at 100 Days Rd., the UFIT Rink at Centre 70 Arena features an 85' X 200' NHL-size ice pad. The arena also offers a community meeting room, the Bloom CommUnity Café, and recreational programming throughout the year.
