How to pay city bills and fines during the strike
Canada Post and the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) issued notices of a possible postal disruption starting Nov. 15, 2024. During the disruption, Canada Post will not process mail, so residents are advised not to send time-sensitive documents or payments through the mail.
Local residents can still pay bills, fines, and parking tickets online at CityofKingston.ca/Pay or in person at designated locations. The City Hall payment centre is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Payments for provincial offences fines can be made at 362 Montreal St. during the same hours.
After-hours payments can be made by cheque at drop-off locations, including City Hall and 1211 John Counter Blvd. For Utilities Kingston payments, residents can use the MyUtilities portal for online access.
For more details on payment options or to ask questions, residents can call 613-546-0000.
