You can now bring names forward for the 2024 Mayor’s Arts Awards

Nominations are now open for the 2024 Mayor’s Arts Awards, celebrating Kingston’s vibrant arts community.

“Our vibrant arts community helps make Kingston a wonderful place to live, and the Mayor’s Arts Awards is a way to celebrate all those who contribute to the cultural landscape of our city,” said Danika Lochhead, Director of Arts & Culture Services at the City of Kingston. “The awards are an opportunity to support, encourage and recognize our local artists while building on the City’s commitment to investing in the arts.”

Now in its eighth year, the awards program includes an open call for nominations and updated award categories. Three Creator Awards will honor artistic merit and innovation, welcoming nominations for artists and arts collectives, including new-to-Kingston artists. One Arts Champion Award will celebrate an arts leader who significantly contributes to the arts sector's growth and development.

Nominations are open until Friday, August 9 at 5 p.m. The recipients, selected by a Nominations Subcommittee chaired by the Kingston Arts Council, will be announced at a ceremony later in 2024. For more information and to submit a nomination, visit the Awards page.
