Ontario curling showdown: Top teams battle for provincial title in Cobourg

Excitement is building as the 2025 Ontario Men’s and Women’s Provincial Curling Championships approach. The event runs from January 19 to 26 at the Cobourg Community Centre, hosted by the West Northumberland Curling Club.

Ontario’s best curlers will compete for the championship title. The winning women’s team will qualify for the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Thunder Bay from Feb. 14 to 23. The men’s champion will advance to the Montana’s Brier in Kelowna from Feb. 28 to March 9.

Representing the Cataraqui Golf and Country Club, Team Beuk features Skip Jonathan Beuk, Third Patrick Janssen, Second David Staples, and Lead Scott Chadwick. Their first game is Sunday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. in Cobourg. Fans can expect intense action as Ontario’s top curlers face off.
