Be mindful of all traffic rules
Highway 401 between Kingston and Napanee saw multiple closures last week due to some very serious collisions. Do these collisions have anything to do with the recent speed increase from 100 to 110km/hr?
We asked OPP Constable Brianna Raison, who shared she's not inclined to make that connection right now.
While the Highway was closed, traffic was rerouted along the Emergency Detour Routes (EDR) through Greater Napanee and Loyalist Township. But some motorists were not following the EDR's and were causing more congestion in the community.
Raison says if there is a posted road closure ahead, it's extremely important that traffic is following the posted EDR.
And the Constable had tis reminder to share with the community.
