It happened at Godfrey Campground, Bob's Lake
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a sexual assault that occurred at a campground near Bobs Lake, Godfrey, early on August 31.
The incident happened during a large event at the campground, when a young person was attacked at the beach area away from the crowd. The suspects, three men who had been drinking, assaulted the victim before they managed to leave the scene.
OPP has stated there is no ongoing risk to public safety, as this is believed to be an isolated incident.
The police have not disclosed the campground's name for investigative reasons but are urging anyone with information to come forward.
