Water bodies could be dangerous spots
Cataraqui Conservation's Watershed Conditions Statement remains in place.
The CRCA is urging caution even after the rain ends tonight. The rain may cause streams to rise quickly, particularly in low-lying areas, posing a risk to residents and visitors in the Cataraqui Region.
Water Managers may need to increase discharge through dams to manage excess flows, potentially affecting water levels. Cataraqui Conservation advises staying clear of fast-flowing watercourses, stormwater ponds, and areas around dams.
The public is reminded to obey all warning signs and avoid slippery creek banks and lake shorelines.
Although widespread flooding is not expected, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and exercise caution near water bodies for the next little while.
