Release date set for Hip's docuseries

New series to stream on Prime

The new four-part docuseries about The Tragically Hip, titled "No Dress Rehearsal," will be released on Amazon Prime Video on September 20.

Directed by Mike Downie, the brother of the band's late lead singer, Gord Downie, the series offers fans a unique look at the iconic Canadian band with unreleased footage, music, and exclusive interviews with band members Rob Baker, Johnny Fay, Paul Langlois, and Gord Sinclair.

The docuseries will first debut at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 5.

Additionally, the first two episodes will be screened in Kingston on October 1 at the Isabel Bader Centre. This special screening will feature a Q&A session with The Hip members, director Mike Downie, and executive producer Jake Gold.

The event, which has already sold out, is a fundraiser for the United Way of Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington
