Celebrating 20-years of Beverley Harris' leadership!
Senator Peter Harder has awarded Beverley Harris, Artistic Director of the Waterside Summer Series on Amherst Island, the prestigious King Charles III Coronation Medal.
At a special ceremony on February 9 at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, Harris was recognized for over 20 years of contributions to the arts. The event was attended by Lennox & Addington Warden Nathan Townend, Loyalist Township Mayor Jim Hegadorn, and MP Shelby Kramp-Neuman.
Harris has led the Waterside Summer Series since 2005, transforming it into one of Canada’s top summer music festivals. The event attracts world-class classical musicians and consistently sells out.
The Coronation Medal, created to mark King Charles III’s coronation in May 2023, honours Canadians making significant contributions to their communities.
Waterside’s unique charm, including a scenic ferry ride and an intimate 140-seat venue, makes it a standout on Ontario’s summer music calendar.
