Road to World Juniors begins in Kingston with pre-tourney action

Team USA and Team Slovakia set to tangle in town

With 65 days left until Ottawa hosts the 2025 IIHF World Junior Championship, excitement is building across Eastern Ontario. 

Kingston will be one of seven cities to welcome the world, with pre-tournament action set for December 21.

Slush Puppie Place will host Team USA and Team Slovakia as they face off at 7 p.m. in a warm-up match before the tournament begins.

Tickets for the game will be available soon, with updates coming through social media and email. Season ticket holders for the Kingston Frontenacs have their seats reserved until October 31. After that, unclaimed seats will be released to the public.

The 2025 World Juniors will feature the world’s best young hockey talent, and Kingston fans have the chance to catch a sneak peek ahead of the main event in Ottawa.

Hockey fans are encouraged to keep an eye out for ticket releases to avoid missing this exciting matchup
