Kingston area farmers encouraged to secure their properties
Following a rise rural crime across the province, the OPP is urging local farmers to enhance their property security.
Collaborating with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture (OFA), the OPP recommends several strategies. This includes posting "No Trespassing" signs, installing gates and locks, using motion-sensor lights, setting up surveillance systems, and marking tools with identification.
They also advise installing GPS trackers on equipment and building relationships with local OPP officers.
