Seeley’s Bay man arrested on multiple charges

Charges follow lengthy investigation

A 30-year-old man from Seeley’s Bay, Hunter Tye, was arrested Thursday following a detailed investigation by Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Tye faces 15 criminal charges, including assault, assault with a weapon, break and enter, harassment, dangerous operation, theft, and failure to comply with probation and release orders.

The investigation began on Dec. 18 when OPP responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in Seeley’s Bay. Although no charges were laid at that time, further investigation by Frontenac OPP led to the arrest. Tye was initially unlocatable, but officers returned to the property with the emergency response team the following morning to take him into custody.

The charges are related to several incidents reported in the Frontenac area, with two victims involved. Tye appeared in court on Thursday and was remanded into custody until his next bail hearing, scheduled for Dec. 23. The charges have not been proven in court.
