Service changes in Kingston for November 11

City shuts down to honour our heroes

Kingston residents should be aware of several municipal service changes on Monday, November 11, in observance of Remembrance Day.

There will be no garbage, green bin, or recycling collection on November 11. Pickup will occur the following day, and residents can sign up for reminders at CityofKingston.ca/Collection. The Kingston Area Recycling Centre (KARC) will be closed, and all administrative offices, including Housing and Social Services, will also be closed.

Kingston Transit will operate on a weekday schedule. The Kingston Access Bus will run with limited service—call 613-542-2512 for more information.

Recreation facilities such as INVISTA Centre, Artillery Park Aquatic Centre, Rideau Heights Community Centre, and Kingston East Community Centre will be open, as will all branches of the Kingston Frontenac Public Library. Utilities Kingston and Kingston Hydro will operate from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

For other closures, the PumpHouse Museum will be closed, while the Tett Centre and Kingston Grand Theatre remain open.
