South Frontenac hiring: Up to 30 paid on-call firefighters needed for 2025

South Frontenac Fire & Rescue is looking to hire up to 30 paid on-call firefighters in 2025. The role involves responding to emergencies and assisting with community needs when available. Recruitment is open to South Frontenac residents interested in serving their community in a rewarding and exciting way.

As part of the process, Fire Chief Del Blakney and his team will host information sessions at fire halls across the township. These sessions will provide details about job responsibilities, training, and requirements. Interested applicants can ask questions and learn more.

The first sessions take place on December 7, 2024, at Station #2 in Godfrey and Station #1 in Tichborne. There will also be sessions on December 14, 2024, at Station #6 - Perth Road and Station #5 - Sydenham, December 18, 2024, back at Station #2 - Godfrey, January 2, 2025, at Station #4 - Hartington, and January 4,2025, at Station #8 - Inverary.
