South Frontenac Township looking for public's help with 2025 Budget

Weigh in via a survey

South Frontenac Township is asking residents to share their thoughts on the 2025 budget through a short online survey. The survey, available at surveymonkey.com/r/SF2025Budget, is open until October 4, 2024.

Township officials want to hear from the community about services and tax options. Residents are asked if they prefer a small tax increase to improve services, raise taxes only to maintain services, or cut services to lower taxes. In 2024, the average household tax increase was 2.74%, or about $47 a year.

The survey also asks for household information, including ages and the number of people in each home, to help the township understand different community needs.

Mayor Ron Vandewal says feedback from residents is key to setting priorities for the future.

More information on the 2025 budget process is available on EngageFrontenac.ca. Residents with questions can email communications@southfrontenac.net.
