Multiple events scheduled
St. Lawrence College is hosting a special Black History and Futures Month event on Feb. 7, 2025, at its Kingston campus.
The evening will feature a basketball doubleheader, a Black Business Market, and community celebrations.
The St. Lawrence Surge will take on the La Cité Coyotes, with the women’s game at 6 p.m. and the men’s at 8 p.m.
Attendees can enjoy in-game giveaways, a large group photo, and free “I CELEBRATE BLACK HISTORY” t-shirts and stickers. A Commitment Wall will be available for guests to share their reflections.
The Black Business Market, running from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the upper concourse by the gymnasium, will showcase local Black-owned businesses like Pedal Works & Café, Cher-Mere Day Spa, CB Butterlicious, and more.
The event highlights Black entrepreneurship, cultural awareness, and community engagement.
