What's a city issue you'd like to tackle?
Kingston continues to look for the city's brightest student innovators to tackle city challenges in the Mayor’s Innovation Challenge.
Teams from Queen’s University, St. Lawrence College, and the Royal Military College of Canada can propose creative solutions to city issues by Sunday, Feb. 23.
The competition features two prizes. The Dunin-Deshpande Innovation Centre prize grants access to Queen’s Founders and Innovators Initiative, including entrepreneurship training, mentorship, and potential funding of up to $84,000.
The Public Sector Innovation Prize awards $10,000 and entry to the Summer Company Program for mentorship and business support.
Finalists will pitch their ideas to senior staff and a judging panel at City Hall on Friday, March 14. Proposals must be submitted via video to mic@cityofkingston.ca.
The initiative aims to position Kingston as a smart, livable city while empowering students with real-world problem-solving skills.
