TIFF kicks off with debut of Tragically Hip doc

Series will premier on Prime Sept. 20th

The Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) has begun, and the spotlight was on "No Dress Rehearsal," Thursday, a documentary about the Tragically Hip.

Directed by Mike Downie, the late Gord Downie’s brother, the film premiered to a packed theatre this afternoon. It showcases unreleased footage, music, and interviews with the iconic band.

The documentary will be available on Prime Video starting September 20th.

In addition, United Way KFL&A is hosting a special screening of "The Tragically Hip: No Dress Rehearsal" on October 1, 2024, at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts. The event sold out quickly, reflecting the high demand and excitement for this exclusive viewing.

The docuseries promises to offer new insights and memorable moments from the beloved Canadian rock group.
