Traffic stop in Kingston leads to drug bust and multiple arrests

It all started when officers saw a vehicle speeding out of a parking lot.

Kingston Police arrested two people and seized drugs after a late-night traffic stop on Monday, March 3, 2025.

Around 9:05 p.m., officers saw a vehicle speeding out of a parking lot near Bagot and Ordnance Streets before quickly pulling into another lot. Police noticed the driver and passenger switching seats and approached the car.

Officers identified one person as a 24-year-old from Scarborough wanted on a bench warrant. A search found fentanyl, crystal meth, and cocaine in their possession. The other occupant, a 24-year-old from Kingston, was violating release conditions requiring them to stay home. A search revealed 14 grams of cocaine.

Both suspects were arrested and taken to Kingston Police headquarters, where they were held for a bail hearing.
