Traffic stop leads to drugs and firearm seizure in Kingston

Just the latest bust in the city's fight against drugs

A traffic stop on December 19, 2024, led to the seizure of a loaded firearm and various illicit drugs in Kingston. 

Officers from the Kingston Police Drug Enforcement Unit arrested a 35-year-old local driver, who was found with a semi-automatic 9mm gun and drugs, including fentanyl, crystal meth, and cocaine. 

A 42-year-old individual, wanted for multiple thefts in Ottawa, was also arrested. 

Both face multiple trafficking and firearm charges. 

Investigators seized drugs valued at $619,705, highlighting the ongoing efforts to combat illegal drug and weapon activity in the city.
