Kingston Police seek public’s help in identifying suspects in vehicle theft

The Kingston Police are asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect and a person of interest involved in the theft of a vehicle in the city’s north end last month.

The incident occurred on June 26th, when a complainant reported that their 2001 Jeep Cherokee had been stolen from an apartment complex parking lot on Compton St. The stolen vehicle, described as a 2001 black Jeep Cherokee with North Carolina license plate VDE9410, was later seen at approximately 6:55 p.m. on June 27th, at the Circle K gas bar located on Bath Road at Portsmouth Avenue.

The suspect is described as a bald Caucasian male, approximately 30-40 years old, last seen wearing a white tank top, black shorts, slide-style sandals with white socks, and a distinctive tribal-style armband tattoo on his right upper arm.

The person of interest is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 30-40 years old, last seen wearing a blue Champion t-shirt and a black ball cap.
