Review focusing on health and safety, and other areas
The City of Kingston is reviewing its Business Licensing By-Law (By-Law Number 2006-213) and is asking residents to provide feedback on proposed changes.
The review includes minor adjustments to existing regulations and the addition of new businesses, such as Vapour Product Retailers and Scrap Metal Dealers, with a focus on health and safety, nuisance control, and consumer protection.
The city has opened public engagement, offering residents the opportunity to share their thoughts through online surveys, phone surveys, or by requesting a survey to be mailed or emailed.
You can take the online survey here.
The survey will remain open until September 30, 2024, at 4 p.m.
Suggestions for other businesses that could benefit from regulation are also being welcomed.
The feedback will guide future policy decisions and improve communication with the local business community.
