Why You Need a Family Fire Escape Plan NOW – Before It's Too Late

Time to sit down with the family

Your mind isn't thinking clearly when you are bolted away in the middle of the night - that's why it's important to have a plan in place incase an alarm wakes you up to inform you of a fire.

Fire Inspector Sebastian Smiertka with Kingston Fire and Rescue says if you don't have an immediate go to answer - then it's time you sat down with the family.

He says it's essential for all homeowners.

It's important to troubleshoot scenarios as well so if Plan A doesn't work, you do have a Plan B.

And if you expect guests over the holidays, make sure they know the plan too.
