Cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals will still be available
Cataraqui Conservation has cancelled Family Day events at Mac Johnson Wildlife Area due to heavy snowfall and parking limitations.
Despite the cancellation, the wildlife area remains open, with trails left in their natural state.
For those still looking to enjoy the outdoors, cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals will be available at Little Cataraqui Creek Conservation Area, where the Outdoor Centre will be open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 17.
Staff will begin clearing parking lots and entranceways in the morning, with trail grooming starting mid-morning.
All rentals must be booked online.
