Wolfe Island Collision

Four taken to hospital, two by air ambulance

Officers from the Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a serious collision on Road-96 on Wolfe Island on July 14 at around 10:15 a.m.

Two vehicles were involved in the incident, resulting in injuries to all four occupants. The occupants of one vehicle, aged 72 and 78, were airlifted to hospital by Air Ornge due to the severity of their injuries, with one in critical condition.

The occupants of the other vehicle, ages 71 and 72, were transported by Frontenac County Paramedics for medical treatment.

The OPP's investigation, supported by a Collision Reconstructionist and the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement team, is ongoing.

The roadway was partially closed for several hours, reopening fully by 11:00 p.m. following completion of the investigation.
