Great ideas set to go
The City of Kingston and Sustainable Kingston are hosting the 2025 Kingston Climate Change Symposium under the theme "Rooted in Action: Empowering Youth to Build a Sustainable Future."
The event, happening Jaunary 20, 2025, at the Kingston Grand Theatre, will highlight youth-led climate solutions and bring together young leaders, educators, and advocates for discussions on climate action.
Keynote speaker Autumn Peltier, an internationally renowned Indigenous Rights and Water activist, will share her inspiring story. Host Ali Hassan, a familiar face from CBC’s Laugh Out Loud and Canada Reads, will return to lead the event. Climate activist Lilah Williamson, known for co-founding Sustainabiliteens and organizing Canada’s largest climate strike, will also speak.
Attendees can connect with local environmental groups and city leaders during breaks.
Free tickets are available for those facing financial barriers. For details, contact Geoff@SustainableKingston.com.
The symposium promises to inspire community-driven climate action.
