Kingston seeks nominations for 2024 Celebrating Accessibility Awards

Who goes above and beyond?

The City of Kingston is calling for nominations for the 2024 Celebrating Accessibility Awards.

The awards recognize individuals, businesses, and organizations that go the extra mile to improve accessibility for persons with disabilities.

Community members are encouraged to nominate those who have shown a strong commitment to making Kingston more inclusive. Categories include the built environment, customer service, public space design, education, employment, health care, information and communication, and transportation.

Nominations can be submitted online at the City of Kingston’s website or in person at City Hall, 216 Ontario St. The deadline for submissions is Monday, Oct. 7, at 4 p.m.

A selection committee, made up of five members of the Municipal Accessibility Advisory Committee, will choose the award finalists. Winners will be celebrated at a special ceremony on Tuesday, Dec. 3.
