What's good in Kingston? Discover the Y All Over Again

More programs than you think!

The YMCA of Eastern Ontario has evolved over the years to become much more than just a place with a gym and a pool and an organization that operates summer camps. CEO Rob Adams lets us know how far back the Y's roots go.

They're now one of the largest childcare providers in the region and operate 14 before and after school locations. But they cover a multi-generational age range that leaves no one out as Rob puts it.

From adult fitness and aquatics to youth recreation and gambling awareness programs, there really is always something to do at the Y. Their summer camps are delivered in various communities. From sports to cooking, nature and theatre, there is sure to be a camp for your child. And of course they have the best P.A. Day Camps in the region.

But one of the segments of our community that's turning to the Y more and more might surprise you. Rob explains.

The Y is not a government funded agency so support from the public is key to their ability to serve those that need assistance. Their annual campaign is now under way and part of it will involve a favourite menu of treats. Bob tempts us with the details
