April is Oral Health Month, and the South East Health Unit is raising awareness about free and low-cost dental care programs for eligible residents.
Dr. Linna Li, Deputy Medical Officer of Health, says the month is a chance to raise awareness about oral health and more.
There are many different services being offered, The Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program, Healthy Smiles Ontario, and the Canadian Dental Care Program are all available.
Manager of Clinical Services Jenny Vandermeer says it can be a lot to sort out so she suggests giving them a call.
The Health Unit encourages people to check their eligibility and apply with staff at the health unit who specialize in dental health,and help.
