What's good in Kingston? Learning from the Frontenac Archbiosphere

Great summer camp opportunities

The Frontenac Arch Biosphere was established by the local conservation community to raise awareness about this region's unique geology and biodiversity, as well as, the people who live here.

This is where the Thousand Islands create a land bridge over the river and around the great lakes for animal and bird migration. It is also where five forest regions meet, creating a variety of habitats and opportunities for animals and people, alike. FAB's Becky Lamb gives us the outline

Of course FAB offers summer camps for children, ages 5 to 11 and leaders in training ages 12 to 13, and is always looking for young volunteers, ages 14 and up. Becky says it's a great way to connect with nature

Supporting the great work FAB does is as easy as a walk in the woods according to Becky

You can learn more about their summer camps and their wide array of education resources at frontenacarchbiosphere.ca
