What's Good near Kingston? Massive Canadian music festival coming to South Frontenac

More artist announcements expected soon

A major new music festival is set to hit Frontenac County this summer, promising big names, positive vibes, and a boost for the local economy.

Line Spike Frontenac organizer Jeremy Campbell told KingstonDaily.ca the festival will feature a lineup of major Canadian artists.

Campbell, who grew up north of Kingston, says the event was inspired by personal reflection during a cancer diagnosis and a desire to give back to his roots. The name “Line Spike” came from a railway spike he found at the same time he learned a mentor had passed away.

Billed as “a power for positivity,” the festival encourages Canadians to come together, leave political differences behind, and celebrate unity through music and the arts.

The festival site is located between Verona and Harrowsmith, where the KP and Cataraqui trails meet, near the last piece of railway was laid, connecting Toronto and Ottawa.

Campbell hopes the festival will bring economic life back to rural towns, highlight Frontenac’s history, and remind Canadians of the strength found in togetherness.

With tickets now on sale at linespike.ca, organizers are also offering hotel packages and campground options. Attendees are encouraged to explore the region’s lakes, trails, and natural beauty while in the area.
