Daria Juudi-Hope says it is time for a change
Orange is the new red.
That is what Daria Juudi-Hope is banking on as she is running for the New Democrats in the riding of Kingston and the Islands.
Juudi-Hope is a registered nurse and advocate, and holds a master's degree in public health at Queen's University.
She tells KingstonDaily.ca she's been on the ground connecting with the community on issues affecting them.
Juudi-Hope says residents in Kingston have been struggling under the last 10 years under the Liberal government and it is time for a change.
She says an NDP government under the leadership of Jagmeet Singh will address the issues impacting Canadians.
Juudi-Hope says there has been so much focus on the Liberals and the Conservatives in this federal election that she thinks the NDP is flying under the radar and may surprise a few people.
Like the Liberals and the Conservatives, the New Democrats are also addressing the tariff threats coming from the United States.
Juudi-Hope feels what's going on south of the border will only add to the burden of what Canadians are already feeling.
Juudi-Hope says lost in the talk of tariffs is the issue of health care and that is something that candidates should be discussing in the election.
Voters will head to the polls on April 28.
