Car flips and damages six vehicles in Kingston crash

Impaired driving suspected

A car crash on Bath Road early Sunday morning damaged several vehicles and sent one driver to hospital.

Around 1 a.m. on April 6, a Ford Focus heading westbound failed to make a curve just east of Collins Bay Road. The vehicle left the road and crashed into multiple parked cars in the Anderson’s Auto Services lot.

At least six unoccupied vehicles were damaged, and the Ford Focus landed upside down.

The 24-year-old male driver was taken to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Kingston Police say the driver showed signs of intoxication and is being investigated for impaired driving. Charges are expected.

Police closed a section of Bath Road for several hours while officers investigated the crash. Some lanes remained restricted throughout the morning.

Bath Road was fully reopened to traffic by 10:30 a.m.
