Over 2,000 grade 4 students taking part
The Kingston Symphony is bringing the joy of live orchestral music to more than 2,000 Grade 4 students from across the region through the Symphony Education Partnership program.
Taking place Thursday and Friday at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, we spoke to Evan Mitchell about this unique opportunity for kids to experience the magic of symphonic music.
By immersing students in live orchestral music, the program aims to enhance their understanding of musical storytelling and cultural heritage - and it appears to be working.
Following these exclusive school performances, the Kingston Symphony will present a family-friendly concert, The Great Outdoors, on Saturday, on Saturday.
A highlight of the program will be a special performance of Sergei Prokofiev’s beloved Peter and the Wolf, a timeless symphonic fairy tale that has captivated audiences for generations.
