The most severe ice accumulation is expected to affect central and eastern Ontario, with Kingston and surrounding areas at high risk.
A brief break in the freezing rain is expected on Saturday night before a second round of ice begins.
Residents should prepare for hazardous conditions, including slippery roads and potential power disruptions.
