The Kingston and the Islands ballot is packed

The federal election takes place on April 28th.

The Kingston and the Islands ballot is packed, with candidates running for all the major national parties. 

Incumbent MP Mark Gerretsen, a former Kingston Mayor, is seeking reelection for the Liberals in Kingston and the Islands.  

He faces off against Kingston Mayor Bryan Patterson for the Conservatives. 

Daria Juüdi-Hope, a Registered Nurse with a master’s degree in Public Health from Queen’s University is running for the  NDP. 

Fintan Hartnett,a sailing instructor and world traveller is representing the Green Party. 

Ronald Perry, is running for the People's Party. 

KingstonDaily.ca will give each the opportunity to tell our listeners what they bring to the table for residents in the riding over the course of the campaign. 

Nationally, the Leaders came out swinging with messages to the Canadian people outlining priorities. 

Liberal Leader Mark Carney addressed the elephant in the room, the US President and his agenda.

Conservative Leader Pierre Pollievre started his campaign off a tone of confidence.

NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh launched his campaign aimed at the working Canadian. 

Election Day is April 28th.
